SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, Ltd is the single largest importer of petrol and diesel in Georgia. It imports up to 30,000 tons of oil products from Azerbaijan each month. The company is expanding rapidly by increasing its network of petrol stations around the country. SGP's strategic development plan includes construction of petroleum storage depots using modern technologies and develop its network of petrol stations up to 60.                                   read more

SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, Ltd opened a new petrol station under SOCAR brand in the village Gizilhadzhili of Marneuli. The total number of petrol stations under SOCAR brand reached 46 units after commissioning of new petrol station.

03.08.10 Oil Terminal of SOCAR in Georgia increases the volume of trans-shipping oil and oil products
In January-July of the current year the Black Sea Oil Terminal of SOCAR in Kulevi (Georgia) received about two million tons of oil and oil products. In July, the oil terminal received about 410 thousand tons of oil cargo and sent out 408 thousand tons.

26.07.10 SOCAR invested about 470 million dollars into the economy of Georgia
SOCAR has invested about 470 million dollars into the economy of Georgia so far. To be more specific, tens of gas distribution networks of Georgia are under the management of SOCAR Energy Georgia, Ltd. Besides, the company owns an oil terminal in Kulevi. Through the territory of Georgia Azerbaijan exports its oil and gas via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline.

On July 13, the company SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, Ltd opened three petrol stations in Georgia, namely, in Kutaisi (Kvitiri village), in Khashuri and in Gori. Petrol stations were opened by Mr. David Zubitashvili, Director of SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, Ltd. The mentioned petrol stations as well as already operating sites fully meet the requirements envisaged by European standards. Petrol stations are equipped with the most recent Japanese equipment which ensures 100 % preciseness of giving out fuel.

On June 22, the company SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, Ltd opened two more petrol stations in Tbilisi, namely, on the territory of Navtlughi.
