Official partner of the Georgian Chess Federation – SOCAR Energy Georgia held a meeting with Nana Dzagnidze – Georgia’s 2017 non-Olympic sportsman of the year, European champion and world champion in blitz chess.
Last year Nana Dzagnidze became the first ever female Georgian chess player to win European championship.
Georgian chess federation President – Gia Giorgadze and general director of SOCAR Energy Georgia – Mahir Mammadov attended the meeting. Mahir Mammadov has congratulated Nana Dzagnidze and wished her all the best in future.
Supporting chess is even more important as Batumi, Georgia is going to host Chess Olympiad this year and Georgia will be presented by 2 female and 2 male teams at the tournament.
SOCAR continues to support Georgian chess and hopes for many more titles from Georgian players.
